Olive Breeze
My mission was to create an awesome online website for a small bussiness in Crete! I was all about creating a super cool website that's easy to use, looks great, and makes shopping for olive oil and other regional products an absolute breeze. I wanted to shake things up in the olive oil world and make Olive Breeze the go-to spot in beautiful Crete!
Key Components:
Website Design: I've created website with a fresh look that's as inviting as a sunny day in Crete! It's modern, colorful, and oh-so-easy to navigate.
E-commerce Magic: Get ready to shop 'til you drop (olive oil and other regional goods, that is)! I've created a super snazzy online shop where you can browse all your favorite products and check out in just a few clicks.
Mobile-Friendly Vibes: Whether you're browsing on your phone, tablet, or laptop, my website will look and feel amazing no matter what device you're using. I'm all about making it easy for you to shop on the go!
Say Hello in Every Language: I want everyone to feel welcome at Olive Breeze, so I added options to browse the website in English, German, French and Greek. It's all about spreading the olive oil love far and wide!
Content Galore: Get ready for a feast for the eyes (and taste buds)! Shop is bringing all the best olive oil info, recipes, and stories right to your screen. Get ready to be inspired!
Smooth Sailing User Experience: Say goodbye to slow loading times and confusing menus! I'm streamlining everything to make your shopping experience as smooth as olive oil sliding out of a bottle.

Case Study
About the project
The project aimed to create an intuitive and user-friendly website for a boutique shop in Crete which sells their own olive oil, handmade products and souvenirs, catering to both local customers and tourists. The website focused on promoting their olive oil products, offering an online shop, facilitating olive tasting bookings, and showcasing the rich Cretan culture.
Problem
Non-existent Online Presence:
The absence of an online platform poses a significant challenge as it limits the shop's ability to reach a broader audience, especially tourists and potential customers beyond its physical location.
Complex User Journey:
Without an online platform, potential customers, including tourists seeking authentic Cretan experiences, face hurdles in discovering local businesses, exploring its offerings, or booking olive tasting experiences.
Limited Sales Reach:
The lack of an online shop deprives the business of potential sales opportunities, restricting customers from purchasing products remotely, especially those interested in Cretan olive oil.
Storytelling & Brand Identity:
In this hypothetical scenario, the absence of an online presence deprives business of an opportunity to share its unique story, heritage, and the cultural significance of Cretan olive oil, impacting its brand identity and customer engagement potential.
Solution
Comprehensive Website Development:
Create a user-centric website for small Creatan business, featuring an intuitive interface and seamless navigation, effectively bridging the gap between the business and its potential customers.
Mobile-Friendly Design:
Ensure the website is responsive and optimized for various devices, offering a consistent and user-friendly experience across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
Integrated Booking System:
Develop a streamlined booking system for olive tasting experiences, simplifying the process for users and encouraging them to engage with the shop's services effortlessly.
Online Shop Establishment:
Build an online shop platform within the website, enabling customers to browse, explore, and purchase Cretan products remotely, enhancing the shop's sales potential.
Narrative Enrichment:
Infuse storytelling elements into the website, narrating the shop's history and the journey of its founders, fostering an emotional connection with potential customers.
By addressing these challenges through a user-centric design approach, the project aims to establish a vibrant online presence for small Creatan business , enhancing customer engagement, sales opportunities, and brand identity within the realm of Cretan olive oil experiences.

Competition anlysis
I have revieved over 30 small businesses and 6 large businesses and I’ve came to this conlusions:
Buying Products via Contact Form:
Several competitors' websites feature a purchasing process reliant on contact forms rather than an integrated online shop. This approach introduces friction in the buying process, potentially deterring customers due to the lack of convenience and transparency in transactions.
Lack of Shop & Sold-Out Products:
Notably, a few competitors lacked a dedicated online shop or faced issues with products consistently showing as sold out. This limitation restricts customer access to a broader product range and could result in missed sales opportunities.
Slow Loading & Cluttered UI:
Several websites suffered from slow loading times and a cluttered user interface, impacting user experience. Excessive elements, including animations or heavy graphics, led to prolonged loading, frustrating users and diminishing engagement.
Recipes on Social Media Platforms:
Some competitors relied on social media platforms, particularly Facebook, to share recipes or product information. This disperses content and could limit accessibility for users who prefer a cohesive browsing experience within a dedicated website.
Outdated Designs & Greek-Only Websites:
A few websites showcased outdated designs and, notably, some were available solely in Greek, limiting accessibility for non-Greek-speaking audiences and potentially impacting user engagement and market reach.
Ineffective Shop Functionality:
For certain competitors, the online shop functionality appeared non-operational or inefficient, potentially resulting in missed sales opportunities and hindering the overall user experience.
Conclusion:
The observed shortcomings across competitors' websites highlight various areas for improvement, including optimizing user experience, resolving technical issues, enhancing design coherence, and streamlining purchasing processes. Addressing these issues could significantly elevate competitive edge and customer satisfaction in the market.
